The two-day meeting being held by the board is devoted to discussion of the league's national pro-gram--ande« to-tmake plans for.-the ‘state convention to be held late in May. Committees for the state conven= tion mét today under the direction of, Mrs. John K. Goodwin, state president. Tomorrow's program will include discussion of the national convention to be held in Kansas City, Mo., April 30 to May 2. Mrs, Goodwin discussed the proposed program and pointed. out the need for providing information, building public opinion, supporting legislation, and strengthening the organization and procedures of congress. Each member was given a copy of the national program to study before the national convention. It ralso stresses full United States responsibility for strengthening the UNO. The responsibility of the national board is to provide members with | basic information on the items on the active program and to specify the most effective ume for action.
