MISS ‘BETTY LEE WASHBURN'S engagement to William McAdams Jordan is announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Beard Washburn. The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Conrad Jordan of Springfield, O. Miss Washburn is a graduate of Orchard and Tudor Hall schools and is a member of the junior class at Radcliffe college. Mr. Jordan attended the University of Cincinnati and is ‘a Beta Theta Pi fraternity member. He recently was discharged from the army after three years’ service, one and a half of these in the European theater. MISS JO ANN KINGSBURY will become the bride of Gustav Stokes Klippel at 4:30 p. m. today in the Irvington Presbyterian church. Dr. John B. Ferguson will read the ceremony.
