J. to headline next Tuesday night's wrestling card at the Armory. Detroit Red Wings strengthened their fourth place position against the Maple Leafs in the National league hockey race today, mainlyRgecause of the help of a twice discarded player back from Indianapolis of the American league. The player was Fernand Gauthier, who led Detroit to a 4-to-2 victory over the New York Rangers last night. Gauthier, used as a spare, score two Detroit goals and was a standout both offensively and defensively. The Red Wings opened up with & three-goal attack in which Gauthier, Eddie Bruneteau, and Murray Armstrong scored. Gauthier made it 4 to 0 with a second period goal and after that the Detroiters

NEW HAVEN, Conn., Feb, 8 (U. P.) ~The lowly Providence Reds virtually nullified the New Havén Eagles chances of reaching
