It takes money to give the citizens of any city good transportation service . . . money to retire old property and replace jt with new, money to keep its system modernized. The only way a self-supporting transit company (one that does not receive taxpayer support or other subsidy) can raise the money ‘needed is through the revenues it receives from its patrons. If revenues are sufficient, the Company can give A-1 service. If they aren't, it simply can’t do so. “We believe $3,500,000 must be spent in the next three years for new equipment to give you A-1 service.
