The Tigers led, 11 to 6, at the quarter, 25 to 7 at the half, and 32 to '14 at the third period. Hawks Beat Continentals Decatur Central Hawks chopped the Washington five down with a slim two-point win. after leading,

The Continental comeback in the second half was due largely to the sharp shooting of Ralph O’Brien which cut the Hawk lead to four points. It was almost blow for blow in the closing stanza as Decatur Central won, 31 to 29. It took Boggstown an overtime period to trip the Silent Hoosiers in a hard-fought contest ending with the locals on the short end of a 39 to 37 score.
