Dr. Martin's appointment was announced at a meeting this week in the Hotel Lincoln when the new chapter was organized by Christian ministers , and laymen. Dr. Carl Herman Voss of New York City, executive secretary of the American Christian Palestine committee, spoke at the meeting. The Rev. Ralph O'Dell presided. Dr, Frederick D. Kershner, dean emeritus of the Butler school of religion, was named honorary chairman, and the Rev. Richard Rettig, secretary, The Rev. Mr. Rettig is the pastor of the Carrollton Avenue Evangelical and Reformed church. “The problem of the homeless Jews of Europe is a Christian problem as well as one for the Jews of America,” Dr, Voss said. He made a very earnest appeal to the Christian folk of Indianapolis and the world to aid in the effort to make Palestine truly a homeland for homeless Jews.

Sermon By Rev. Seimets The Very Rev. Msgr. Joseph J. Seimetz of St. Mary's church, Decatur, Ind, former pastor of Sister Magdalene, will give the sermon for the mass. During the services, she will kneel before the grate to receive the veil as the archbishop calls down the blessing of Almighty God upon her. Archbishop Ritter will then intone the “Te Deum,” the church's traditional hymn of thanksgiving, and conclude the ceremonies with benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Rt Elmer Steffen, K. 8. J, archdiocesan director of music, will direct the musical portions of the service and the Rev. Pr. Richard Kavanagh, monastery chaplain, will assist Archbishop Ritter. Friends of Sister Magdalene and the order are invited to greet her during the three days, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, in the monastery’s large grilled speak room.
