in the United States are scheduled to sail for Hawaii and Japan today from two West Coast ports, The largest group of 441 ablebodied prisoners will sail from Los Angeles for Ft. Shafter, Hawall, where they will be used for essential labor. ; A second group of 182 “non-work« mostly officers and non-come-oned officers, will leave Seattle for Japan. A total of 5431 Japanese war prisoners was interned in the U, 8, at one tinie, the army said. Of these, 2588 already are doing essential work’ in Hawaii.

The L. N. Grossman estate yesterday sold the Sanitary Washed Wiper Co., 19 BE South st, for $75,000 to David Berman, Sam Dobrowitz and Joe Celender. ‘ Modernization and new equipment will cost an additional $25,000, the new owners said. The structure is a two-story building with 30,000 square feet of floor space.
