Kaye tries to achieve that “soft, uncluttered” look in her latest styles which, as director of the school, she demonstrates as she trains men and women for work ih Antoine salons all over the country.

KAYE stresses the individual style,” with each personality requiring different treatment in fashion and generai make-up. : And as for the up-sweep—and who hasn't tried it at least once?— Mlle. Kaye believes it is more for evening wear. Not all persons can wear the up-sweep although it has assumed tremendous popularity for all occasions. A yoman wearing an up-sweep must be dressed smartly. The severe lines and cuts of defense-plant years are out, according to Mile. Kaye, director of the Antoine school in New York. She is here at Wasson's Antoine salon to serve as guest’ stylist through Jan. 5. Coiffures, she says, are definitely more feminine. All women—in

Style frends are away from the chignon low on the neck, and instead it is attached higher on the head, she says. Another touch that is good at any time is the comb. Mlle. Kaye uses plain combs for daytime and more elaborate ones for formal WORF. And so women are coming into their own again. To be utterly feminine is to be in top style—the war is over, .
