Moving to Chicago in 1902 he was employed at the Republic Metalware Co. Later he became secre-tary-treasurer of Ditto, Inc, and was named president of the corporation after several years, In 1938 he moved to Indianapolis and was an executive of the Audiphone Co, manufacturers of hearing aids. He left Indianapolis in 1642 ‘and became personnel director of Wiley-Lett, Inc. of Marion, until his death.

He was 65. An Indianapolis printer the last 45 years, Mr, Haines was employed as a printer and proofreader bv The Indianapolis News. He was a member of Typographical Union No. 1 (A. PF. of L) and formerly was president of the local union. Mr. Haines was a member of the Episcopalian church in Plymouth.
