FOREIGN BROADCASTS BANNED BY PETRILLO
NEW YORK, Dec, 25 (U. P.).—A new controversy threatened today between James C. Petrillo, head of the American Federation of Musicians, and radio stations over the broadcasting of musical programs from foreign countries. The National Association of Broadcasters published a letter from Petrillo in its weekly news letter in which he said his union ‘would not tolerate the broadcasting of foreign musical programs after Dec. 31, The order did not affect programs from Canada, where, Petrillo said, musicians are members of the A.
