Man Who Brought Action to Oust Sheriff Charged With Rape.

Where is Enoch Shriner? The 49-year-old plaintiff in the impeachment suit against Sheriff Otto Petit had disappeared today. His attorneys, Louis Rosenberg and James Dawson believe he Was taken from his home at 1305 W. 18th st. by “somebody” as the time approached for a preliminary hearing in circuit court tomorrow on the impeachment proceedings.

intends to campaign for the U. 8. senate on a Progressive platform in Indiana.

’ Mr. La Follette was commenting on the new congressional G. O. P. drafted largely by Rep. Charles A. Halleck, Renssalaer, leader of the young conservatives in congress. Mr. La Follette said he likes some of the wording, but knows that supe porters of this program do not mean what he (La Follette) does in the use of the words.
