Election of officers of the Casualty Engineers society will be held. The out-going officers are T. D. Shéllenberger, president; Stanley E. Pihl, vice-president, and John PF. Rithmiller, assistant secretary and treasurer. Members of the’ nominating committee are Phillip A. Klein, Fred Linke and William E. McHale.

The 106th began its guarding job last April when vast numbers of captives swamped completely all facilities that had been prepared. Enclosures were set up along the whole German frontier from Holland ° to Switzerland and the 106th became prison wardens. One camp received 35,000 prisoners the day it opened. After being badly cut up by the initial German onslaught in December the 106th returned to the line in the January offensive and during February and March defended the southern flank of the 1st
