Road Starts Daily Change in Menu
NEW HAVEN, Conn. Nov. 18 U. P)~For the first time in railroad history, a daily change of printed menus has been initi« ated on the dining cars of the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad. Heretofore, a chef's suggestion has been the only variable item on the daily rail menu, but with the return of sufficient quantities of meat and other scarce food items, the New Haven's dining car service now finds it possible to obtain the variety of food necessary to make daily menu changes, it was said. The new menu will feature table d’hote entrees for the day, with a supplementary a la carte menu -for standard items and beverages, which will be presented on request.
