Thrilling Movie

Probably the cruelest assignment that could come to any man in a war makes up the story, “First Yank Into Tokyo,” showing at the Circle. The hero, Maj, Steve Ross, an American ace, offers not only his life—but while he lives, gives up his face to plastic surgeons for permanent transformance into the countenance of ‘a Japanese. An excellent portrayal of the valiant officer is given by young Tom Neal. His mission is to obtain atomid bomb information from an imprisoned* Amercan engineer, Lewis Jardine (Mark Cramer) in Japan, And the task is willingly accepted’ because the major believes the nurse he loves, Abby Drake (Barbara Hale) has died on Bataan.

Unforeseen difficulty arises immediately, however, when Ross discovers that the camp commander {8s Col. Okanura (Richard Loo), his former roommate in an American
