ROBBER VICTIMS Purse-Snatchers Strongarm
Two on Street.
Two armed hold-ups: and two strongarm purse snatchings were being investigated by police today. A man drew a gun on Larry Collins, 30, of 127 E. 8th st. as he was walking on 8th st. between Pennsylvania and Meridian sts. at about 2 a. m. He took $15 and Mr. Collins’ wristwatch and told his victim to “get walking and don’t look around.” After he had walked a few steps Mr. Collins looked around to see if the man had disappeared. He hadn’t. He fired one shot at Mr.
: Collins: and then ran.
$2 by a man whic put a oni on him as he was cutting ‘through a vacant lot at 46th st. and. College ave, 4 ' "Soruek and Robbed One man was believed responsible for two purse snatchings last night. Lillie McLead, 39, of 317 Toledo st. reported that a man came up and hit her in the face and then grabbed her purse and ran, The purse snatching occurred as she was walking near Blackford and Mich~ igan sts. A man tallying with the description given by Mrs, McLead stepped behind Mrs. Alma Mosley, 414 N. Blackford st. as she was entering her. yard and fold her to go back to the alley. He held what she thought to be a gun against her back until they reached the alley, Then he hit her in the face and took her pocketbook
