Charles A. Griffith, 4014 Winthrop ave, a milling engineer with AllisChalmers Manufacturing Co. 15 years, died yesterday in City, Mo.,.where he was on an inspection tour, Mr. Griffith, who was 70, had installed mills in Russia, Saskatchewan, Canada, Rio De Janeiro and Pernambuco, Brazil. He installed the Acme-Evans Milling Co. here. A resident of Indianapolis since 1018, Mr. Grifith was a native of Utica, N. Y. He had also worked for Nordyké & Marmon Co., Ine, Survivors are his wife, Mrs, Katherine Griffith; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Jobson of Glenview, Ill; a son Donald C. Griffith of Cincin~ nati, O., and five grandchildren,
JAMES W.. McINTYRE James William McIntyre, 1923 Central ave., discharged army veteran, died of pneumonia in the Veterans hospital yesterday. Services will be held at 2:30 p. m. tomorrow at the Conkle funeral home. Burial will be at Floral Park, Mr. McIntyre was a former employee of Hall-Neal Co. and a member of the Broadway Methodist church, He attended Technical high school. He was discharged from the army a year ago after having served 19 months. He was 20. Survivors include his wife of seven weeks, Miss Eva Champion McIntyre: his father, James B, McIntyre, a city fireman for 21 years; his mother, Mrs. Mary Helenburg; a sister, Miss Katherine McIntyre, and - grandmother, Mrs. Lillie Stuart, Indianapolis.

Services for Judge Paul F. Dowell
afternoon. Judge Dowell, who was 54, died yesterday in Methodist hospital after a critical illness of several days. Born “in Edinburg, Judge Dowell was educated in public schools at Edinburg and Madison. He later attended Hanover college and the University of Minnesota. He was elected to the high court in 1942 on the Republican ticket. He was a member of the Masonic lodge, O. E. 8, the Shrine, Gatling Gun club, the Elks and Moose lodges, the Knights of Pythias and the Indianapolis Press club. Survivors include his wife, Anne, and a half-brother, James Dowell of Columbus,
