LONDON, Oct. 18—Back in America, safely away from the terrors of Nazi conquest, Patricia Van Delden of Los Angeles, will have much to forget—and probably cannot—of her five-year career as “Sonneveer” in

the Dutch underground.

How can she forget how the gestapo and the Dutch Quisling madmen tortured her resistance movement colleagues ... and how they

died in agony rather than reveal her identity? How can she shut out the memory of those 19 underground hostages, who had to die because the resistance could not compromise itself with its German enemies? “We will spare their lives if you keep that newspaper from appearing” the Germans had said.
