Gary Cooper, Loretta Young In New Roies.

Cowboy clothes ‘are wrapped around two of Hollywood's top-notch stars, Loretta Young and Gary Cooper, and the result is another western in “Along Came Jones” at the Indians. Tall, lanky Gary as Melody Jones, a butter-fingered guntoter, rides into the little cowtown of Payneville and is mistaken for a vicious stagecoach murderer. Enjoying the awe he inspires, Melody spends the whole picture trying to grow up , , . but never quite succeeds. Fragile Loretta Young, who Is usually charmingly feminine, is burdened with a wide-open-spaces drawl and n frontier skirt ‘which gives her the unfortunate appears ance of having stepped onto the wrong movie set and stuck it out to the last shot, The plot reveals that Loretta, as Cherry, is the murderer's girl friend, who tries to toss unhappy Melody to the sheriff’s posse in order that the real killer can escape. But bumble-fingered Melody Is not as dumb as he looks, and besides by this time in the picture he has kissed Cherry and decided to stay in Payneville. The second feature is “Steppin’ in Society,” with Edward Everett Horton, in a new role, not as his usual foolish self,
