Vivid Colors, Rounded Contours Are Highlighted in Styles Shown by Wm. H. Block Co.
By LOUISE FLETCHER Times Woman's Editor More than 2000 persons queued up last night to see The Wm. H., Block Co.'s post-war style show held on the store’s second floor. During the evening, Governor Gates, acting for Block's and Christamore, presented two token checks for $5000 each to the commanding officers of the Billings and Wakeman General hospitals. Actual presentation of the cash proceeds will. be made later by Mrs. A. Kiefer Mayer, Christamore president, for rehabilitation work at the hospitals. : Opening the show was a collec tion of period costumes by Helen Virginia Meyer of New York.
