~WASHINGTON, Oct, 11 (U, PJ. the last of its controls on construc« tion today by revoking order L-41 which placed sales price ceilings on homes built under war housing programs authorized by the national housing agency. WPB spokesmen said removal of the order had nothing to do with current discussions among government and industry officials of proposals to place price ceilings on new dwelling during reconversion. Today's action fulfilled the government’s promise on Sept. 18 to remove all wartime controls on construction by Oct, 15, Meanwhile, Price Administrator Bowles is contending that price control should be maintained on homes as an anti-inflation measure during the reconversion period. Reconversion Director John W. Snyder has been. represented ° as| opposing Bowles’ argument, Snyder is now discussing the problem with OPA, housing and industry officials. He said yesterday that the gov~ ernment expected to reach a policy decision on the question “in a day or 80” He added that officials hoped to arrived at a policy which would simultaneously encourage the building industry and provide safeguards against inflation. Snyder denied reports that he and Bowles were locked in a dispute over price ceilings for homes. G.I. to’ Occupy Father's Pulpit Sunday Morning
TECH. 4TH GR. CHARLES L. TRINKLE will preach Sunday morning in the pulpit of his father, Dr, O. A. Trinkle, in the Englewood Christian church, Technician Trinkle withdrew from divinity school because he thought it was his duty to serve in the war, He won five batfle stars in Patton's army on its drive through Normandy, France, Luxembourg, Germany and, Czechoslovakia including battles at St. Lo, Rheims, Metz and in spearheading the Rhine, n n ” HE WAS graduated from Tech high school, having been brought up in the Englewood church. He received his basic training at’ Ft. Bragg and sailed with the 21st fleld artillery for England two years ago. He traveled #through Wales and Scotland to Ireland. While in a camp near Belfast, Technician Trinkle assisted the Chaplain at the same time taking his training as a medical tech nician. Technician Trinkle plans to ree enter the Cincinnati Bible seminary and complete his preparation for the ministry of the Christian church,
