English's Offers Big Legit Season
By the looks of the English theater play schedule, Indianapolis may have one of its biggest legit seasons this year. Vincent Burke announced today the booking of “Foolish Notion,” starring Tallulah Bankhead, Nov. 57, and “The Tempest” featuring Vera Zorina and Canada Lee, Nov. 8-10. Meanwhile, the date for “Desert Song,” the Sigmund Romberg favorite, has been changed from Oct. 28-Nov, 1 to Oct. 30-Nov. 3. “The Bad Man,” starring Leo Carrillo, and scheduled to be at English’s Oct. 23-24 has been cancelled. Following: the Blackstone show this week will be the “Ballet Russe Highlights” Oct. 25-27. ‘Miss Bankhead was last seen in Indianapolis in “The Little Foxes” three years ago.
