Abe Lyman Says He Got Bad Check

HOLLYWOOD, Oct. 4 (U. P.). —Orchestra leader - Abe Lyman today charged novelty-jobber Michael Achman with issuing a $2000 bad check in “returning” money Lyman had put into a scheme .to- buy cigaret lighters, Lyman told the district attorney's ogee that Achman proposed they could profit by buying a consignment of cigaret lighters and reselling it for $5000. When Achman didn't buy the lighters, Lyman demanded his money back and got the bogus check, he charged.
