A graduate of Manual high school, he formerly was supervisor of the Blue Ribbon dairy bar and was a member of the Danish Lutheran church, Killed in France He is survived by his wife- and mother, a son, James; two brothers, Cpl. Axel Christensen, Ft. Monroe, Va., and Ejnar Christensen, Indianapolis, and three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Bryan, Mrs. Amy Roemmer and Mrs. Helga Griffin, all of Indianapolis, A memorial service will be held for Sgt. Christensen late this month. Sgt. Raub, the husband of Mrs. Ruby Raub, 820 N. Tuxedo ave., was killed Sept. 15, 1944, near Malancourt, France. He was first listed as missing and later reported to have been killed while leading a patrol behind the lines, Formerly employed at the Mechanics Laundry & Supply Co., he was 31. He had been in service since March, 1943, and overseas with the 90th division of the 3d army since March, 1944, He is survived by his wife and mother.
LT. W. BOYD BROWN RELEASED BY NAVY
After 36 months of service in the navy, Lt. W, Boyd Brown, 146 W. 43d st. has received an honorable discharge at Great Lakes, Lt. and Mrs, Brown are now in Chicago with his parents, Mr, and Mrs. H.W, Brown, and will return to Indianapolis about the middle of October. Lt. Brown spent 31 months at gea and participated in the Italian campaign and the invasion of southern France. He went to sea from New Orleans, La., and made six -trips in the Caribbean and -eleven in the Atlantic as commanding officer on troop transports and Liberty ships.
