When all the 12,000,000 men In the armed forces have returned, most of them will go back to their home states, but thousands will strike out for new pastures. The map above, prepared from a survey made by the research branch of the information and education division, ASF, shows expected major trends in these post-war migrations, Survey forecasts a big net influx into the Pacific states, with a lesser one into Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin. There will be a heavy trek out of the western north central states (Minnesota, Towa, Missouri, the Dakotas, Nebraska and Kansas) and from the southern states.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 25.—Here are some questions on ‘the educa~ tional and vocational training sec tions of the G. 1. bill of rights: Q. I have been in the air corps for the past three years as a mechanic. I want’ to get into some angle of the auto business as soon as I get out. If I decide to go to school, will the work I did in the army be credited to my school work and how much? A. You will get credit for the training you received in the army if it relates to the courses you take in school. There is no fixed credit for army training as applied to
ual state or institution you attend. Q. I have a wife and two children and plan to go to college. It will be a tough job getting along on the $75 a month. But, the way we figure, it will ‘be impossible if we don’t get that during vacations. Is this subsistence paid during vacations? A. While you are taking a full-

Several months ago I started a course of vocational {raining which sounded plenty rosy at the time. Since getting into it, howe ever, I've decided it’s not for me, I want to change. Can I? And how do I go about it? A. You can change if you can give “reasons satisfactory - to the Administrator of Veterans Affairs.” State your situation to the V. A. offi« cer who assisted you in starting the first course. Q. When I was in the sixth grade § I quit to go to work and help supe § port my mother. I got a fair job § and was doing all right until I § was’ drafted. While in the service my mother died. Now I think I ought to finish grade school at least §| and start high school. Can I do § this? § A. Yes. The government will pay for this.

| A fortnight ago the vacillating | Caudillo reportedly sent two emis- | saries to “Juan, representing the
Phalange (Fascist) and Monarchist parties. They are said to have been the bearers of an urgent message from Franco asking the pretender to return to Spain immediately to take up the succession to the Caudillo, who, it was said, had finally made up his mind to retire. Refused ‘Succession’
Juan, according to the writer's information, replied that le was ready to accept the responsibilities of the crown on one condition, namely, that.he would not take power as. Franco's successor, as in 80 doing he would also succeed to the dictator's policies of which he thoroughly disapproved. Meanwhile, despite the confidence of Juan partisans that the Spanish monarchy can be restored without bloodshed, your correspondent has encountered many Spaniards here who hold a gloomy view. Thev are convinced that any change of re« gime in Spain today will mean a new civil war,

Forecasts Wet,
Mild Winter
RUSHVILLE, Ind. Sept. 25 (U. P.) —Weather Prophet Mark Pur cell came up with his 27th annual winter weather forecast today and predicted that the season would be mild and wet in Indiana, Purcell studied the prevailing winds for 81 hours during the
three-day equinoctial period. He said that the coldest weather would be recorded the first three weeks of winter—from Dec. 22 § through Jan, 11. The unofficial forecaster, who accurately predicted a cool and wet summer for 1945, said the winter precipitation would occur
chiefly as rain, instead of snow.
