Second principal in the cast Is Selma's quiet, wise and loving father, Martinius Jacobson (Edward G. Robinson), whose one dream Is to build a new barn, His wife, Bruna (Agnes Moorehead) is the balance spring of the household, the realist. Constant companion in Selma's pigtall escapades is her 5-year-old cousin, Arnold Hanson, played naturally and near perfectly by Jackie “Butch” Jenkins. Romance makes an appearance when the editor of the little, com munity paper (James. Craig), falls in love with the pretty new schoolteacher (Frances Gifford), Just a few of the other scenes! the story reveals are a circus, a fire, | a flood and a Christmas party with little Miss O’Brien holding each situation in her tiny palm.

The dance music of Charlie Agnew will open the season at the Indiana roof at 8:30 .o'clock tonight after the- annual summer vacation.
