New Casualties Report | Stands at 1,070,999.

WASHINGTON, Aug. 30 (U, P). —U. S. combat casualties, not yet finally computed, stood at 1,070,999 today, an increase of only 180 over a week ago. The army total actually shrank {from last weekls total of 923481 |to 923284, a reduction of 197. This Iwas. due to a reshuffling of the [missing total as a result of later information.

The navy total rose 377 to 147,715 |

from last week's total of 147,338. . The dead for all services now (total 254,568. The army's missing figure this {week is 31.461, a reduction of 2,082. {Most of the reduction was trans|ferred to other casualty categories.
