120 PROJECTS ARE PROPOSED
IEC Studies $70 Million Worth of Plans.
Hoosier governmental units have proposed 120 post-war projects to cost $70 million to the Indiana Economic Council. The council is a lending and coordinating agency designed to assist state communities with their postwar planning, So far, cities, towns and counties have asked to borrow $2,574,752 for blueprinting purposes. Economic Council Director Raymond L. Pike, however, pointed out the council has only $500,000 to allocate. He said indications are that an attempt will be made to boost the council's loan fund reservoir at a special session of the legislature.
