| ~~ AMSTERDAM, Aug. 16.—Thousands of tons of natural rubber willl | probably be available for shipment from the Dutch Indies to the United | {States and other world markets almost immediately. That is the opinion of authoritative quarters in Amsterdam, who! have reason to believe the Japanese devastation was not sufficiently thorough to wreck the vast rubber a | facilities of the Indies during their | {long occupation. The Dutch East Indian govern-| {ment already has bought equipment | ‘for a production of 150,000 tons of | [rubber annually, and it is expected | that considerable quantities will be available as soon as the Japanese leave.
