She was bord in Remington and received her education at Garfield university, Fairmount college and Lewis academy, all of Wichita, Kas. She came to Indianapolis and entered the public school system in 1896. In 1898, she resigned to marry E. F. C. Bechert, who died in 1931. Mrs. Bechert returned to the school system as a substitute teacher in 1920, and In 1933 became a regular teacher at school 29. She was 8 past matron of the Queen Esther chapter, O. E. S.; past high priestess, Tarum court 23, Ladies Oriental shrine and a member of the Third Christian church, Surviving besides Mrs. Oren; are [two soffs, Edward T. C. Bechert, Remington and George A.
