Kill me.” “Sorry,” said McKenzie, “but I have orders to bring you in alive.” Ouchi is one of the highest ranking Japanese officers ever captured. When told that Tokyo was almost destroyed, he said: “It couldn't be or Japan would have surrendered.” The fight to capture him lasted seven minutes. The score was nine Japanese killed, and no American casualties.
