Abbott, county ¥ agricultural \ agent, including for the first time $500 cash awards in # 4-H classes, Four-H entries will i} also be eligible for open classes this 4 year where they may win additional { premiums, § Night livestock judging, a. feaif ture introduced last year, will be i! made available to 500 spectators 4 this year. Explanation of points 1} considered in judging will be given for the especial benefit of city i} watchers, said Paul G. Moffett, vice 8 president of the fair. { Judging Schedule The judging schedule will be: § Sheep, Wednesday afternoon and ¥ night; hogs, Thursday afternoon 8 and night, and dairy cattle, Friday [§ afternoon and night. At least 100 [§ head more of both cattle and hog [§ entries are expected this year. % Classes will be judged by J. H. i Hilton, . formerly of Purdue, now [8 head of the animal husbandry de ¥ partment, South Carolina State university. The Purdue exhibit tent will feature new seeds, hybrids, insect control and farm practices particularly suited to Marion county.
