Morris, who was 27, had been in service five-years and overseas nine months, He was graduated from Avon high school, Hendricks county, in 1936, and. formerly was employed as an. undertaker’s-assist-ant, Sgt. He was reported missing and four days after the telegram arrived his wife received a letter from him telling her he was safe and on his way home. Seaman Fitzgerald attended Manual high school and was employed by a trucking company before he entered the navy in October, 1944. He had been overseas -sincé January. He is the son of Mrs. Ester Fitzgerald of Indianapolis and the father of a son, Robert Joseph, 21 months. 28 » Pfc. Theodore A. Pfeiffer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard G. Pfeiffer, 1628 Churchman ave. was wounded May 16 on Okinawa. He is a gunner with the 77th infantry division. Overseas since February, Pfc. Pfeiffer attended high school in Freetown and was employed by P. R. ‘Mallory. & Co. before he entered the army in September. He is now in the Crile general hospital in Cleveland. Pfc.
