Indianapofis Navy League Recruits Women for Assoclate Membership
A DRIVE TO RECRUIT MEMBERS for the wo-
men’s branch of the Indianapolis Navy League council is being inaugurated by Mrs. Samuel B. Sutphin and Mrs. Frederic M. Ayres Sr. The two recently were eleéted to the council's board of directors. The Navy league, called the “civilian arm of the navy,” has invited women to join as associate members. They will take part.in the league's program of activities. The first event for the entire membership will be early in June. Nicholas H. Noyes, council president, has appointed W. R. - Sinclair and Walter I. Hess to plan the program. Mrs. Sutphin and Mrs. Ayres as co-chairmen in recruiting women will announce complete organization plans, leaders and volunteer workers later.
