INGA ARVAD BREAKS TROTH TO BRITON
HOLLYWOOD, May #4 (U. P).—
Blond Inga Arvad—Danish screen writer whom Adolf Hitler once described as “the perfect Nordic beauty’—today broke her engagement to Robert Boothby, member of the British parliament, rather than jeopardize his career. The troth had been announced only two days ago. : “Ironically,” the 27-year-old former newspaper woman explained, “I have broken my engagement to Mr, {Boothby because I love him. I love {him very much.” She said she had decided to call off their marriage because the British press “played up” her brief, professional contact with Hitler. “Mr. Boothby, like all members of parliament, will soon be running for ré-election,” she said.. “I do not wish this ridiculous publicity to hamper his- career.”
