The drive to enlist women in the field army of the Marion County Cancer Control society is being directed from headquarters established recently in the Hotel English lobby. Shown here at work are (left to right) Mrs. E. W. Cowley, chairman of the women's division of the county society; Mrs. Irwin L. Thompson, secretary of the county office, and Mrs. Julia Ray Iles, public relations chairman for the drive in the county. Several hundred women have enlisted since the drive opened last week. The campaign, which will continue through April 30, is part of a nation-wide drive for five million dollars to be used in fighting cancer.
