THE INDIANAPOLIS TIMES _ = Wallenda's Wife Back i in the Act /
SARASOTA, Feb. 27 (U, P.).— Herman Wallenda, who pedals a bicycle along a narrow wire 65 feet above the ground, said today he'll work with his former wife, Elizabeth, back in the act but he won't like it. She makes him nervous. Wallenda, who is key man for the Wallenda high wire act, had Elizabeth dropped from the act last year when the Ringling
Brothers-Barnum and Bailey circus was in New York. They had been divorced two months.

In their practice sessions, the Wallendas have arranged it so that Wallenda's back is always toward Elizabeth. ‘He isn’t quite as nervous if he can't see her. In the act, Wallenda is the foundation for a human pyramid of three persons, topped by Elizabeth, It's his timing as he pedals the bicycle. across the strand of steel wire that keeps the act up. in the air.
