There's an unmistakable twinkle in the "eyes of Artur Rubinstein, soloist yesterday afternoon and Saturday night for the Indianapolis Symphony orchestra’s eighth pair of | subscription. concerts, There's also something electric and twinkling about the way the great Rubenstein plays a piano. In fact, it's obvious that there's nothing he enjoys more. Most of the soloists who have appeared with the orchestra this season have made only one appearance during the evening, But Rubinstein was more génerous for he also played Frederic Chopin's Concerto for Piano No. 2 in F Minor. Also born in Poland, Rubenstein wrote the program notes for the Chopin Concerto, Dr. Sevitzky usually - includes at least one “first time in Indianapolis” composition on each program, but this concert contained two: Mozart's Symphony No. 30 in D Major and the Overture to “Colas Breugnon” by Dmitri B.
