Born in Indianapolis, Pvt, Wilson’ made his home in Columbus since he was a child and was employed there before going in the army, Survivors besides his parents are two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Roe, Indianapolis, and Miss Edna Wilson, | Hammond, a former employee af ~ The Indianapolis Times; and three brothers, Harley and Bert, Indianapolis, and Ray of Columbus, PA ” n ” ' 8. Sgt. Richard D. Drager; son of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Drager, Radburn; N. J, formerly of Indianapolis and Morristown, has been awarded the purple heart posthumously for military merit and for wounds received in action which resulted in his death, Nov. 16, 1943. Until recently listed as missing in action, the war department: has notified his parents of his death. 8gt. Drager was walst gunner on a Flying Forfress which had its | rudder and stabilizer shot away on +8 mission to Istre Le Tube, France, and crashed into the Mediterranean sea. Sgt. Drager was a member of a bomber group based in North Africa which took part in every major Fortress raid in the Mediterranean theater. Highlights of its combat ‘record were participation in the first raid on Rome and support of allied troops in making the Salerno beachhead. ~ Previously awarded the. air medal with five oak leaf clusters, he enlisted in the army air corps Dec. 8, 1041, and flew to North Africa in May, 1043 Burviving besides his parents are his grandfather, Charles M. Jack-

Missing since a flight over Germany, Feb. 25, 1844, 2d Lt.” Louis Gene Kirkpatrick, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. 8. Kirkpatrick, 1934 Shadeland dr., died on that mission. Pilot of a B-17 Flying Fortress, he was on his second or third mission when his plane was shot down by anti-aircraft fire about 100 miles from the target. Seven of his crew have been reported prisoners, The 23-year-old airman was a graduate of Warren Central high school and attended the University of Kentucky two years. He was employed by Kingan & Co. before entering the army in May, 1842. He went, overseas in January, 1944, ° Surviving besides his parents are a sister, Miss Nelle Kathryn Kirkpatrick, a member of a Red Cross clubmobile now in Frénce. » » » Pvt. Robert C. Dooley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dooley, 2120 Clay st., a veteran of the invasion of France and Holland, has been miss+ ing in Belgium since Dec, 21. A paratrooper, he enlisted in the army Oct. 21, 1942, and went overseas in January, 1944. He was at a rest camp in France when his division was called into action in Belgium.
