PARIS, Feb. 1 -—Frenchmen, although grumbling and criticizing, {have no wish for immediate national elections. This is true despitd’ } § {the feeling of many that the -conisultative assembly is unrepresentaey tive. = ; This significant‘ conclusion is drawn from reports, covering December, on the first countrywide polls, now being taken every two months by the same group which tested French opinion secretly under the occupation, Of 15 questions asked, six bear on . |French internal problems. The : |answers seem to show that French opinion still follows time-honored == |lines and demonstrates that the French people are still pretty sound.
