In addition to contributing to several magazines, Miss Fosdick is the author of “What Is Liberty?” and was the editor of John Stuart Mill's “On Social Freedom.” She served on the Smith college faculty, in the sociology and government department, for five years; was a member of the Sherwood Eddy European seminar in 1935, the American delegate to the Oxford conference on church and state in 1937, and a member of the Hubert Herring seminar in Mexico in 1940.
