Colorful Costumes, Comedy Please Audience.

The .gay Gilbert and Sullivan melodies and the Jimorous antics of a nimble little man entertained
a less than capacity audience for | nearly three hours at English’s last night. The star comedian in the opera, “The Mikado,” was :Ralph Riggs, a light-footed scene stealer whose songs and dances kept firstsnighters chuckling. He played the role of Ko-Ko, Lord Executioner of Titipu. Ko-Ko's assistants in the humor {department were Robert Eckles, a | hefty, sophisticated lord who held every official title from Lord Mayor down to Groom of the Second Floor Front, and Robert Pitkin as the Mikado, another Jack-be-nimble,
