Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Dunnuck, 1002 Tabor st, are anxiously awaiting news from their son, T. Sgt. Earl Dunnuck, who recently helped capture a German general. Sgt. Dunnuck and three American soldiers captured Gen. Hans Lingner, commander of the 17th S.S. panzer-grenadier division, after the ‘German general and his aids took | the wrong road and drove into an/ allied outpost. The general is believed to have been the first division commander taken prisoner on the Western front. Sgt. Dunnuck, who was wounded Nov. 14, 1944, when a hand grenade was shot out of his hip pocket by a German sniper, is the brother of Mrs. Bertha Dickey, 1422 S. Reisner st, and Mrs. Ida Yee Cobb, 1841 Lambert st. He is The father of two sons, Earl Jr. and Donald of St. Louis, Mo.
