Some. 6700 music lovers, representing the P. R. Mallory Co. employees and their families, filled Cadle tabernalle Saturday night to hear Dorothy Maynor, gifted Negro| and the —Indianapoils Symphony orchestra. Her voice has lost none of the unusual range, strength and color which it possessed three years ago when she made her debut in Indianapolis in the Martens series. Miss Maynor's use of the halfvoice in “Were You There?” drew loud applause in one of her encores. Her selections included the aria, “Depuis le Jour,” from. the opera “Louise;” Schubert's “Ave Maria,’ Richard Strauss’s “Devotion” and| Johann Strauss’'s “Tales from she Vienna Woods.” ~ For an unscheduled periormance, Fabien Sevitzky conductor, demonstrated the instruments of the In-| dianapolis symphony orchestra. He then led the orchestra in a program which included Hadley’s “In Bohemia” overture, the first movement of Jean Sibelius’ Symphony No: 1 in E flat, Grieg's “Norwegian {Dances” and his own orchestration lof Verdi's “Aida.”
