HITLER WELL, * GOEBBELS SAYS
Tells Allies ‘Attack On
Western Front Message From Fuehrer.
LONDON, Dec. 25 (U. P.).—Paul 3
Joseph Goebbels, Nazi propagamia minister, said in a radio Christmas to Germans last night that Adolf Hitler was well. The allies are hearing from him through the counter-offensive ‘on the western front, he declared, Germany will emerge victorious from the war, he predicted. Broadcasting over the Berlin radio, Goebbels in his speech recorded here, said: “Adolf Hitler enjoys the best of health. If the enemy described him as ill this is just wishful thinking. What he has to say to the world it will hear sooner than it likes, It is already hearing it on the Western front. “The enemy has again made a vain attempt to drive a wedge between the fuehrer and his people. We are almost ashamed of the gigantic burden of responsibility he | has to bear for his people. “He is a steady pole in the fluctuating fortunes of war, He belongs to us, as we belong to him, body and soul.” Goebbels asserted that German morale was at its highest and that despite the dangers of the last year Germans remained - firm, going toward a greater future instead of collapsing as, he said, the allies had
expected.
