Sgt. George Donald Bushong, 3657 N. Illinois st., was killed in action Nov. 17 in Germany. He was serving with a tank division and had been overseas since Aug. 17. Sgt. Bushong was 32 and entered the army’ two and one-half years alo. He attended Technical high school and was a sign painter in civilian life.

He had been overseas four months, A graduate of Joan of Arc grade school and Cathedral high school, he was 19 and entered the army in August, 1943. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic church. Pfc. James L. Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas J, Miller, 2057 N. Delaware st, was included on today's war department list of wounded. His parents received: a telegram that he was wounded Oct. 4 but on Oct. 23 the war department informed them that instead of being wounded, he was missing.
Two Indiana navy ‘men were included on today's navy department list of killed in action. They are: Seaman 2-¢ Billy Joe Lark, husband of Mrs. Freda Lark and son of William Lark, West Terre Haute, and Lt. Earl Leonard Wood, husband of Mrs, Kathleen May Wood, Danville. Lt. Wood previously was reported missing.
