DEAR JANE JORDAN—I would like to tell the men what will keep wives happy and on their toes. Please keep yourselves clean and well shaven, There is g appealing about kissing a scrub brush, Don’t

give us pecks for

. We know how appealing a real kiss can be. I

don’t mean they should be the movie kind, long drawn out, but let them be human, the-kind you give some of those other women who appeal to

you. Please watch your waistlines as there is nothing so repulsive as these bay windows that some of you display. ; We'll make you feel important to us because you are, but don’t make us feel like doormats. We're an important part of this marriage,

us. We love it. We'll turn hand- - springs to make : you happy if you Jane Jordan do. How do you think we feel whgn we slick ourselves up day after day and you never say “you're looking mighty pretty today”? Maybe this is why Old So and So's former wife, stopped trying to look nice, We never cry unless ‘we're feeling very hurt at you or ill. Don't Jaugh at us then. We need a little petting just as you need making over when you're down about something, or . offended. When you buy $50 suits, don't quiz us a dollar pair of stockings until we feel like a fellow who stole pennies from the baby’s bank. Don’t check up on us like some amateur detective. We look forward to your home-coming and when you immediately make a dive for the grocery bill to see what we've spent, it just takes the joy out of life, that's all. Talk to us about everything that Interests you—your hopes fpr our future, just everything, silly things, anything, but talk! Before we married you told us you wanted us for a pal. Well, act like it! We don't expect to have our way all the time, and would think you were & weakling if you let us have it, but don’t think you can have your way all the time and forever either

have it every single blasted time. I don't think women would be loathe to let their husbands have nights out if the husbands remained trustworthy ‘under these circumstances and were with men only, but too many times trusting wives have given these men nights out only to find their husbands were using them-to go out with some other woman. This is why a lot of women object to their husband's night out. ‘ It seems to me that when a man gets a woman in marriage he should try to be as pleasing to her as he was before he won her. I believe that men are not prepared for marriage as they should be. They are given to understand that they are supreme and that women come after their wishes. Most of the men I have observed seem utterly selfish. I know there are many good men, many, but quite a number are spoiled. And believe you me, when a girl gets one of the latter for a husband, she surely does have a problem!

ANONYMOUS,

Answer—Here is some good advice for the men. Would any of our men readers care to write a letter of advice for women?
