Indiana will pay tribute to itsi first commander-in-chief of the Grand Army of the Republic since 1920 with a reception and dinner for Isaac Sharp, Warsaw, newly elected commander, Dec. 9 at the Hotel Severin, Commander Sharp, now Indiana chief executive, was named national head at the convention in Des Moines in September, becoming the first Hoosier commander since willidm A. Ketcham, Indianapolis, 24 years ago. The new commander brings the total" of Indiana men who have headed the vanishing army to four. O. A. Somers, Kokomo, was national commander in 1913, and I. N. Walker, Indianapolis, was the chief officer in the early "90's, The reception and .dinner for Commander Sharp will be sponsored by the Womens' Relief Corps of Indiana, assisted by Ladies of the G. A. R., The Sons of Veterans, Auxiliary to the Sons of Union Veterans and Daughters of Veterans, More than 500 invitations have been issued to members of these organizations, as well as to heads of all patriotic groups. Governor Schricker and- Mayor Tyndall also are expected to attend the reception and dinner. National presidents of affiliated groups of the G. A. R. who plan to attend are Mrs. Laura I. Smith, Providence, R. I, Womans’ Relief Corps; Mrs, Eunice Rash, Ladies of the G. A. R.,, Thayer, Kas.; Mrs. Edith Nile, Alliance, O., auxiliary to the sons of Unign Veterans; U. W.
