P.. —Administration opposition opposition appeared yesterday to have sidetracked for the remainder of the present congress any senate investigation into the .Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941. There were strong indications that a resolution by Senator Homer Ferguson (R. Mich), calling for a 10-man senate investigation would remain in the senate military affairs committee without action before the present congress expires Jan. 3, The resolution was sent to the military affairs committee, instead of the judiciary committee as proposed by Ferguson, at the request of senate Democratic Leader Alben W. Barkley (Ky.). } Chairman Robert R. Reynolds (D. N. C.) called a meeting of the military affairs committee for next Friday but said he was “not sure” the Ferguson resolution would be taken {up at that time, “
