154 STATE NURSES SOUGHT FOR ARMY

Indiana will fail to meet its quota for the first time since Pearl Harbor unless 154 nurses for the army are "| recruited between now and Jan. 1. When army requirements were increased to 10,000 more nurses between now and the first of the year because of the rising casualty rate Indiana was assigned a quota of 203. To date only 490 of these nurses have been recruited, Miss Ethel R. Jacobs, R. N., chairman of the Indiana Procurement and Assignment Service for Nurses, reported today. Graduate nurses between 21 and 45 are eligible and those joining the army nurse corps are commissioned as second lieutenants and receive an initial uniform allowance of $250,
