Phyllis Miedema is prompter. Geraldine Powell will play the lead in “My Cousin From Sweden,” with ithe cast of Helen Rohlfing, | Betty Lou Evans, Janice Mathews, | Janet Weaver and Norma Chaney.| The prompter will be Barbara Snod- | grass. Corps Head Named

Appointment of Cadet Major Joseph Mennel to head the Manual reserve officers’ training corps for the first semester was- announced today by Sgt. Harold Jones, instructor . Other appointments included Capts. Donald Tabor, Robert Willoughby and Charles Seedorf, com=~ pany commanders; Alan Judkins, battalion adjutant; Capt. Robert Schwartz, head of band officers and James Morris, William Robertson and Everett Terrell, first lieutenants. WASHINGTON PUPILS’ PAINTINGS ON EXHIBIT

Paintings by Mary Lou Burns and Mary Goins, Washington high school pupils, today were on display in the | Ingersoll award art competition at the 21st annual Women’s Interna-| tional exposition at Madison Square Garden, New York. The oil landscape paintings were among 200 selected for exhibition to continue through Sunday. Miss Burns and Miss Goins also will recelve cash awards. - Miss Frances Failing of Washington faculty instructor of the art class. :

MEAT—-Red stamps A8 through Z8 and AS through P5 are good.

CANNED GOODS-—Blue stamps A8 through Z8 and A5 through W5 in Book 4 good indefinitely for 10 pointg each.

SUGAR-—Stamps 30, 31, 32 and 33 in Book 4 are good indefinitely for 5 pounds. Stamp 40 in Book 4 good for § pounds of canning sugar until March 1. Stamp 34 in Book 4 becomes good for five pounds Thursday.

Applicants applying for canning sugar should send in one spare stamp 37, attached to the applicaton for each applicant.

GASOLINE-—Stamp A-13 good for 4 gallons through Dec. 21. B4 and C4, BS and C5 good for 5 gallons; T (4th quarter) good for 5 gallons through Dec. 31. El and E2 good for 1 gallon; R-1 and R2 are good for 5 gallons but are not valid at filling stations. Persons buying used cars should make sure that the seller has surrendered his gasoline coupons.to the ration board.
